About Ron Wassenaar Builder Inc.

Ron Wassenaar Builder, Inc. was established in 1988 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. However, its roots date back to the 1940’s when Ron’s Grandfather, Gerrit founded G.H. Wassenaar and Son’s Builders along with Ron’s Father, Norm and Norm’s brothers, Jack and Gordon. Norm Wassenaar continued the building tradition in the 1960’s and 1970’s. It was during the late 1970’s that Ron partnered with his father to form Norm Wassenaar & Son Builder’s. Norm and Ron worked side by side for fifteen years passing on the Wassenaar traditions of fine home building. With this partnership they constructed quality homes and custom remodeling. During this decade, Ron learned the finer techniques of finish carpentry. In the early 1980’s, Chip Wierenga became a member of our team. Chip has evolved into one of the finest finish carpenters in Michigan. Soon came Norm’s retirement in 1988 when Ron took over the business and renamed it Ron Wassenaar Builder, Inc.

Ron Wassenaar Builder, Inc. continues the fine tradition passed on from his Father. Our team consists of some of the finest craftsman in the West Michigan area to produce the highest quality of home or remodel available.
